You're L (l/n), L's little sister. You were angered when your brother had died so you joined up with Near to finish the Kira case. Over the course of a few weeks you had developed a crush of a certain white-haired genius, you even started stacking dice like he did when you got bored. Now was one of those times.
You were sitting on a chair upside down, your feet above the head of the chair, head dangling off the bottom, stacking dice. You were trying to make a stair case with a door, right now you were on the third stair. You heard light footsteps and supposed it was Near, because no one except for you and him walked around barefoot, making such light steps.
You waved your hand at him as he sat down in the chair next to you. "Hey Near."
Nodding absentmindedly, twirling his white hair on his finger. "Find anything on Kira?"
You shook your head, placing the last die on the third row os stairs, picking up more to put for a fourth row. "If I had something I wouldn't be sitting here and stacking dice."
He looked over at what you were creating. "Why do you stack dice?" He said apathetically.
You looked to the side at him, switching to sit like Near. "Cause you looked cool while stacking them, so I tried doing it, too."
He stared at you emotionlessly. "Cool?"
You sighed, you had forgotten for a moment he was an antisocial insomniac. "Yes, in other words you looked, uh good? While stacking dice, I don't know."
He stared at you again for a few moments, you didn't do anything because you were used to his staring by now. "I think you look good while stacking dice too Lil." Lil was what you had everyone on the case call you, originally it stood for Little One, what your brother used to called you.
Your face turned a bit pink. He spoke again. "Hey Lil, what does it mean to love someone?"
You looked over at him, startled a bit at the fact that he was suddenly a lot closer to you. "Uh, an attraction to someone, where you get the urge to hold them. That's what I think."
He once again stared at you. "Then I think I love you Lil."
You blushed, your face turning extremely red. You went back to stacking dice and whispered to him. "I think you're thinking of something else."
He shook his head a bit. "Then why do I get the urge to hold you? To hug you when you cry for L? Why do I feel like I want to swat away all the men that are near you?"
You flushed, he had seen you when you were crying over your brother? You just looked down. Then Near did something you didn't expect he grabbed you and hugged you. "Why aren't you saying anything Lil?"
You blushed and gripped the back of his shirt, hugging him back. "Because I love you, too Near."
You leaned out from the hug and kissed him, he was shocked at first, but he did kiss back. Right after your lips parted a cat call and laughter was heard.
Matt and Mello were standing in the doorway, Mello holding his stomach and laughing, Matt whistling.
Matt smirked at you and Near. "Bout damn time, I thought I would have to wait forever before you two got together."
Mello was still laughing. You blushed, while Near just got up calmly walked over and tried to strangle Matt. "Matt, Mello, leave. Now."
Matt chuckled down at Near. "Fine, fine I'll leave you to go mess with Lil, come on Mello."
You blushed again and hid you face by turning around and continuing to stack dice, come to think of it, her whole conversation with Near started of some dice stacking now didn't it?
You laughed at the thought and the fact that Matt was teasing Near for the heck of it.
The Matt and Near just looked at you like you were crazy, laughing over some dice. You just went back to your normal sitting way and continued making that staircase.

Snowball (Near X Reader One-shot)
Thump.
Smash.
Bang.
”Oh, come on”, you muttered as you dragged two chairs, a few blankets and even more pillows behind you. This hadn’t been in your mind really when you’d asked Near to do something funny with you; in fact you had no idea what he wanted to do with all this stuff. It was true that he’d become an insomniac after solving the Kira case and becoming L number three, but how on Earth was he going to sleep on those uncomfortable chairs?? But Near was your boss, and you had to obey even his weirdest orders.
Near was four years older than you. You were both raised at Wammy’s House, but he had lef

Near X Reader - Understand
He went by a lot of names. Near. N. Nate River. L. But you had never even considered which to call him. He was Nate, your boyfriend of five years. You waited quietly for him in your room, hair braided into a crown, wearing your new nightgown. It was a beautiful shade of cream, the bodice and ankle length skirt silk, the long, opaque sleeves a soft material you couldn't place. The square neckline hung low, giving a decent view of the tops of your breasts. You hoped Near wouldn't mind that part of the outfit. While Near always loved all of your body, you tended to retreive breakfast in whatever you had worn to sleep, whether it be a hoodie and

(Warning: This request is just like "Growing Lady", though it's less awkward. But if you're uncomfortable with this, then skip to the end. Near's got an important message, of all people)
So, to get a bit of introduction out of the way, your alias is "Ophelia", (being shortened, it is O) one of the orphans at Wammy's House.
Being a bit asocial yourself, you didn't mind being alone at all. Hell, you thrived in the thought of constant isolation to do tasks, such as writing haiku or stories, that may seem mundane to others, but for you, it got the gears in your head grinding up a storm.
Ah, being alone. Could this get any better?
